One of the kingdom principles that gives the husbandman a good understanding of the power of his influence as he leads himself and his wife and children is that everything rises and falls on leadership. And this is the hard truth that you and I must accept if we want to be most impactful unto good and godliness as the man, husband and father.
Now consider the Bible passage in the Gospel according to Mark chapter 10 and see the graphic picture Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, painted about the leader
And he called them unto him and said unto them in parables, how can satan cast out satan? And if a KINGDOM be divided against itself, that KINGDOM cannot stand. And if a HOUSE be divided against itself, that HOUSE cannot stand. And if satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. NO MAN CAN ENTER INTO A STRONG MAN’S HOUSE, AND SPOIL HIS GOODS, EXCEPT HE WILL FIRST BIND THE STRONG MAN, AND THEN HE WILL SPOIL HIS HOUSE (Mk.3:23-27)
The Scripture says that no man can enter into the house of the strong man except the strong man allows it. What this means is that it is the strong man that determines who and what is allowed into his house. If he loses his power and does not take his place of authority, another man will enter his house and destroy his spoils.
As the husbandman, you are the strong man and you have your goods which are your resources (your wife and children) stored in your house. God commands you to keep them but there are many adversaries contending to want to spoil them for you and God (1Cor.16:9). But God has given you the power and authority to dictate what is permitted and what is not (Lk.10:19). So, you have no one but yourself to blame if satan, sin and the world enters into your home and spoil your resources (your life, that of your wife and children).
God has called you into the office of the husbandman and it comes with greater responsibilities. He has entrusted into your hands His valuable assets-your home, wife and children. And you must account for them before Him (Gen.2:15, Gen.3:9, Eph.5:25-27, Eph.6:4).
Therefore, if you don’t wake up to keep watch over the resources of God in your custody and house, you will lose them to satan, sin and the world and you will be solely responsible. Now is the time for you to be strong in the Lord and in the power of might so that you can keep satan, sin and the world away from entering into your glorious home and stealing your resources (Jn.10:10).
If you family succeeds it is your gain; if it fails it is your fault (Gen.3:9).
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from spiritual, mental and physical slumber.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirits of Christ.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to stand firmly at the gate and keep satan, sin and the influences of the world away from my sheep and sheepfold.
FAITH CONFESSION
As the good and godly husbandman, I take my place as the strong man of my sheepfold and I stand against the influences of satan, sin and the world from gaining access into my family and home in Jesus name. Amen.
