SETTING A RIGHTEOUS PATTERN

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 1Tim.1:15-16, Dan.1:8, Jn.3:3, Gal.4:19, Matt.5:14-16, Eph.5:25-29, Col.3:19, Rom.12:21, Eph.6:4, 2Thess.3:10, Ps.24:1-2, 1Cor.13:4-9, Rom.12:21, Ps.1:1-3

This morning as I sat on my study table to begin today’s teaching, the Holy Spirit directed me to revisit a teaching that was done in January 2024 in order to strengthen the husbandman’s commitment to be watchful in all watchfulness. And that is he has to set righteous patterns in all that he thinks, says, does and relates with.

Consider this word of the Lord from Scriptures.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, FOR A PATTERN TO THEM WHICH SHOULD HEREAFTER BELIEVE ON HIM TO LIFE EVERLASTING (1Tim.1:15-16)

The Word of God shows that there is a pattern that God has set for you and that He wants you to have. This is because as the good and godly husbandman, you are the leading light and an ambassador of Christ. These Bible texts will help you to discover the good and godly patterns. I admonish and exhort you to study them intensely (Gen.2:14-18, Matt.19:5, Num.30:1-end, Deut.6:6-9, Eph.5:25-29, 2Thess.3:10, 1Tim.5:8, Eph.6:4, Col.3:19, Gal.4:19, Matt.5:14-16).

But for you to set good and godly patterns in accordance to the plans and purposes of God for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father, you must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (2Cor.5:17).

Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (Jn.3:3)

Secondly, you must work out your salvation with fear and trembling by deliberately doing only those things that please God both in thoughts, words and actions. Just like Daniel, you can intentionally do what is righteous.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings’ meat, nor with the wine which he drank….. (Dan.1:8)

And, finally, you must pray fervently and intensely with fasting so that the nature, virtue and principles of the word of God shall find expression in your life as the man, husband and father (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1).

I travailed in birth until Christ is formed in you (Gal.4:19)

Setting good and godly patterns is possible. The grace of God is available for you. Enter into the sufficiency of God’s grace and take steps to set good and godly patterns as the husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me Your ways and help me to live through them.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to live above the flesh and help me to live by the Spirit.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a good and godly pattern for my wife and children and the world.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a worthy ambassador of Jesus Christ because I have set a godly pattern after the word of God and I am living out the patterns thereby making me function as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.
