WRESTLING THE REAL ENEMY

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Jn.10:9-11, Est.7:6, 1Tim.5:14, 1Pet.5:8, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Rev.12:11, Matt.16:22-23, Gal.4:19, Eph.2:2, Eph.6:12

As the husbandman, you must understand that life is a battle field and your journey to becoming the good and godly husbandman comes with its challenges. Satan, sin and the world will contend with your desire and pursuit to live the good and godly life as the man, husband and father. So, your real enemies are not your wife or children. Whatever you see happening or coming from your wife and children that appears as if they are intended to hurt you is instigated by an invisible force, and that is what you must deal with. Remember the encounter of Jesus Christ with Peter (Matt.16:23). It is that force that is your real enemy that you must contend with.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph.6:12)

The ultimate purpose of satan, sin and the world, is to steal the peace and friendship you are enjoying with your wife and children, kill the joy that fills your home and destroy your home (Jn.10:10). Whatever you notice about your wife and children that is ugly and ungodly is coming from the devil. It is spiritual corruption.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Eph.2:2)

You must fight the forces of satan, sin and the world influencing your wife and children unto disobedience and ungodliness.

But how do I wrestle and overcome the forces of satan, sin and the world influencing this misbehavior, disobedience and ungodliness?

You wrestle and overcome the forces by the spiritual weapons of the word of God, prayer and fasting (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Gal.4:10). Once you take charge spiritually, your instructions, admonitions and influence become forceful physically because the spiritual controls the physical. You must also engage the weapon of the blood and name of Jesus Christ (Rev.12:11). At the name of Jesus Christ every knee bows.  You must further engage the weapon of faith in God and His word (Heb.11:32-33).

Therefore, you must reposition yourself to know the real enemy of your glorious heritage as the good and godly husbandman. You must refocus your energy to fight the real enemy that is trying to defile your desire for a glorious home. You must wrestle satan, sin and the world. It is your gateway to living the victorious life as the good and godly husbandman.
