RENEWING YOUR MIND BY THE WORD OF GOD

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Bible Texts: Eph.4:22-29, Jos.1:8, Matt.12:34, Rom.5:5, Jn.14:26, Philp.4:8, Philp.2:5, Rom.12:2, Ps.1:1, Acts 2:1-4, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:23, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Col.3:16

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Eph.4:23)

The word of God says that be ye renewed in the spirit of your mind because the spirit of your mind controls the conduct of your life. The change you want to see in your life, conversation, and attitude as God desires for you as the good and godly man, husband, and father, begins in your mind. This is why you must be careful about what you feed your mind, because it influences how you live on the outside (Matt. 12:34). The place where the work of becoming a good and godly husbandman starts is the mind. This is why you must continually renew your mind so that you can please God in his thoughts, words, and actions.

Now with what do I renew my mind so that it can influence my life unto goodness and godliness?

And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Rom.12:2)

You renew your mind with the word of God continually (Jos.1:8, Ps.1:1-2, Col.3:16, 2Tim.2:15). The word of God is the Spirit of God (Ezk.2:2). As you take in the word of God into your spirit man intentionally and consistently, it will greatly transform your conversations, reactions, responses, relationships, your physical body, your soul, and your appetite, management of your finances, power, position and authority. This is how powerful the word of God is.

After you have engaged the word of God daily to renew your spirit man, you must also engage the Person of the Holy Spirit to firmly impress the word in your heart so that the knowledge of the truth will not be stolen by satan, sin and the world (Jn.10:10, Jn.14:26, Rom.5:5). You must keep engaging the weapons of prayer and fasting to ensure that the word of God becomes a reality in your life through the empowerment of the Holy Ghost (Mk.9:29, Acts 2:1-4, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13)

The peace, joy, growth, maturity and progress you want to experience in your life as the good and godly man, husband and father is in the quality of the life of your spirit man which is renewed by the word of God, prayer and fasting. And as you renew the spirit of your mind, it will transform your life and you will be like Jesus Christ in all things.

Hallelujah!
