WALKING IN THE WISDOM OF GOD

Bible Texts: Pro.3:19-20, Pro.4:7, Jas.3:13-17, Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15, Jn.14:26, Is.58:8, Eph.1:18-19, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Jn.15:5, Gal.5:22-23, Jn.10:10

But who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy (Jas.3:13-17)

Walking in the wisdom of God is and will always remain a profitable tool for the husbandman. The husbandman needs the wisdom of God to overcome the challenges of life. But what does it mean for the husbandman to walk in the wisdom of God and why?

The wisdom of God is searching to know the perfect will of God in any circumstances, understanding what has been discovered, and doing what has been discovered and understood. This means putting God’s word to work.

As the husbandman, you must not only seek to know, but also you must understand and act on what you know. It is your action or application of what you understood that gives you victory. Proverbs chapter 4 gives the reason why the husbandman must walk in the wisdom of God to live a victorious life on earth.

Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting, get understanding (Pro.4:7)

As the husbandman who wants to continue to grow in his assignment as the good and godly man, husband and father, you must give attention to the word of God by studying it, with the intention to know (Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15). And as you get the knowledge, engage the Person of the Holy Spirit to open your eyes of understanding (Jn.14:26, Is.58:8, Eph.1:18-19). Thereafter, you engage the force of prayer so that you can be empowered to do exactly what God commands from His word (Deut.28:1, Philp.2:13, Jn.15:5).

The wisdom from God is better than the wisdom of man. The wisdom of God is enduring and profitable. The Bible is the way to access God’s wisdom for your profiting as the good and godly man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my life to You and to the influence of Your word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me understanding of Your word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to act on Your instructions and commandments and build me up in godly wisdom.

FAITH CONFESSION

I search the Scriptures to know and I have understanding by the Spirit of God and I am acting on what God’s word commands by the Holy Ghost because that is what establishes me in heaven’s order of wisdom as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
