BONDING IN LOVE WITH JESUS CHRIST

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Lk.12:20-21, Gen.3:1-4, 3Jn.1:2, Gen.17:1-3, Jer.29:11, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, 2Tim.2:15, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Jn.15:2-5, Jn.14:26, Ps.24:1-2

But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee, then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Lk.12:20-21)

The ultimate will of God for the husbandman is for him to be rich towards Him. God wants the husbandman to have a quality relationship with Him continuously (Gen.17:1-3, Rom.8:1-2).

As the husbandman, it is good to have the material things of life because God wants you to live a comfortable life (3Jn.1:2, Jer.29:11). But what is much more important to God is for you to live a life that is pleasing to Him. And that is what you must seek to do, always.

What happens to me if I am rich towards God?

When you have a quality walk with God, it empowers you to take delight in obeying the Word of God as the man, husband and father (Deut.28:1, 1Jn.5:3). And this will impact positively on the quality of your relationship, your thoughts, your conduct, and how you respond to the issues of life.

However, the starting point for you to have a quality relationship with God through Jesus Christ, is to first and most importantly accept Jesus Chris as your Lord and personal Saviour (Jn.3:3-7). This requires that you confess your sins to God, repent of them and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (2Cor.5:17, Rom.8:1-2, Ps.24:1-2, see the prayer of salvation below). The second step is that you must make the Bible your final authority (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15). Thirdly, you must pray and continue to pray for the reality of what God has said in His word to manifest in every aspect of your life by the power of the Holy Ghost (Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Jn.15:3-5).

God wants you to bond with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ, because it is profitable to you and makes you the good and godly man, husband, and father at home and in the marketplace (Matt.5:14-16).

Hallelujah!
