YOU ARE A CHANGE AGENT!

Bible Texts: Gal.3:13, Gen.12:1-3, Gen.3:3-10, Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Jn.5:30, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Rom.10:10, Jn.3:3-7, Lk.10:19, Lk.10:19, Deut.28:1, Rev.5:10-12

Today’s message is to inspire the husbandman that, regardless of his family’s negative history of untimely death, lack of success, lack of education, joblessness, barrenness, poverty, no tangible accomplishments, or any such curse, he can reverse the negative pattern.

Now, let us look at an example of a change agent. His name is Jesus Christ.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree; that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Gal.3:13-14)

Jesus Christ became the change agent or channel through which the blessing of Abraham came to the Gentiles. That is how powerful One Man made positive change happen. As the husbandman, you are a change agent. You are the channel through which the blessings of God can be made manifest in the lives of your wife, your children and family. You can discard the negative foundation of your family lineage and set a new foundation that brings the blessings of the Lord.

I recall my personal encounter with the Person of the Holy Spirit in 2000. While I was studying my Bible and meditating on the Word of God, the Person of the Holy Spirit said these words to me, “It took one man to bring sin to this world, and it took one man to bring salvation; it will not take more than one person to bring the needed change”. This revelation sparked an internal revival in me that God can, through me, rewrite the story of my family heritage and bring the change I desperately desired. From that day, I offered myself to God as a vessel to start a new, glorious heritage and bring the promises of God to my family lineage.

Don’t settle for a negative recurring family history. God has given you a new family in Christ. You are now in Christ, and old things have passed away, and all things are new because you are now in Christ (2Cor.5:17). You can make the change happen.

But for you to be the agent of positive change, you must be born again (Jn.3:4-7). You must keep studying and meditating on the Word of God (Jos.1:6-8, Jn.5:39, Ps.1:1-3, Jn.6:63). You must continue to engage the weapons of prayer and fasting to enforce and sustain the change (Lk.18:1, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Mk.9:29). You must keep walking by faith and not sight, declaring the promises of God and stamping your authority as the agent of good and godly change (Gen.1:3, Rom.10:10, Heb.11:1-2). You must keep doing all that God commands you to do as a change agent (Deut.28:1). You must continue to walk in the consciousness of your newness in Christ Jesus, who is now your new and solid foundation.

You are a change agent!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, redeem me from the curse of the law.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the blessings of Abraham come to my family and I.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be the change agent for the restoration of Your glorious destinies for my family.

FAITH CONFESSION

I make myself available to God as a threshing instrument for the blessing of Abraham to be poured upon my wife, children and family lineage because that is the glory of the call of God on my life as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
