ENGAGE THE WORD OF GOD!

Bible Texts: Heb.4:12-14, Gen.8:22, Lk.8:11, Jn.5:39, Ps.119:105, Pro.4:20-23, Ps.12:6, 2Pet.1:7, Jas.3:7, Rev.12:10, Jn.5:39, Job 14:14, Job 6:25

Search the Scriptures, for in it ye think ye have life (Jn.5:39)

As the husbandman, the Word of God makes you the good and godly man, husband and father, but you must search the Scriptures and commit to doing all the Word of God commands you to do. And the more you search the Word of God, the deeper the light you encounter that will put you command of your affairs as the husbandman. But the Word of God will not make you the good and godly husbandman if you do not know how to engage with the Word for your profiting. So how do I engage the Word of God to make me better?

You must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by repenting of your sin, confessing them and accepting Him as your Lord and personal saviour (Jn.3:3-9, 1Cor.5:17).

You must take personal responsibility to search and keep searching the Word of God, depending on the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit (Ps.119:105, Jn.14:26).

You must have faith in God and in His Word that it can do whatsoever it says and can reframe your life, no matter how bad or worse your past or present may have been (Gen.1:1-3, Heb.11:2, Heb.4:12).

You must be steadfast in patience and strong in hope that the Word of God will be fulfilled in your life (Job 14:14).

You must continue to declare the word and counsel of God over your life as the man, husband and father, regardless of the contrary situation (Ps.29:1-2).

Remember that the Word of God works, lives forever, is alive, is powerful and is sharper than any two-edged sword (Ps.119:89, Heb.4:12). So, it has the power to make you become all that God has ordained you to be as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, uproot every ungodly seed I have planted in my life as the man, husband and father in the past.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to sow right wordsfrom Your WORD (BIBLE) into my life and let it impact my decisions as the man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to hold onto Your word and let it yield godly fruits.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have decided to start planting the word of God in my life because that is the seed I must engage with in order to reap the harvest of the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
