Decree And Declare

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Num.6:22-26

More Scriptures: Ps.127:5, Ps.105:14, Matt.21:19

I have come to discover that God has endued husbands with so much power that we can decree and declare His counsel over the lives of our flock and see it comes to pass (Lk.10:19). This is so important when you look at it from the position of a priest. As the head of your family, you occupy the priestly office and God expects you to function likewise. The priest takes the front row. They are leaders. That is who you are- a leader in your family kingdom. But many husbands have not been able to take advantage of the priestly power God has deposited in them. Many have watched their flock disintegrate. Many also have watched the lives of their flock go out of shape and order. And many more husbands have resorted to complaining rather commanding. You are in charge of your family and not the devil. If you notice anything in your family that is contrary to the will, plan and purpose of God, launch a counter attack against the devil. Did you notice that your wife has begun to misbehave? Or did you observe that your children have suddenly begun to derail? Do you notice tension in your home or between you and your flock? Don’t ask why. Don’t give excuses. Take your position as the priest of your family and decree and declare what you want.

So, what do I decree and declare? The priestly blessings found in Num.6:22-26. I will want you to gather your wife and children and decree and declare the Scriptures over them in faith and love. I also admonish you to set aside a day and time when you consciously make the declarations.

“And the Lord spake to Moses, saying….on this wise you shall bless the children of Israel saying unto them,

The Lord bless thee and keep thee

The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee

The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace”

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, anoint my tongue with coal of fire and let me speak with power and authority.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me the spirit of boldness and sound mind.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of fear and doubt.

FAITH CONFESSION

I stand on my watch continually and I declare God’s counsel over my wife and children because that is what defines my headship as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
