Convinced Beyond Any Doubt

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Romans 4:19-21

More Scriptures: Mal.2:14, Rom.2:10, Matt.19:8

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being FULLY PERSUADED that what he had promised he was able to perform (Rom.4:19-21).

Sometimes as the head of your family, the attitude of your wife and children could make you wonder if anything good can come out of them. I believe very strongly in my spirit that there is a husband reading this devotional and you are wondering if your wife and children can manifest godly attitudes. I want to assure you today that there is hope for you and a sure guarantee that your sheep are not to be written off. Your wife and children are good and godly heritages from God, principally for your enjoyment. It doesn’t matter what anyone may have said about them. It doesn’t also matter what satan may have whispered to your heart. Irrespective of the negative picture people or even yourself may have had about your wife and children and even the temptation to abandon them, there is light at the end of the tunnel. And this is why the Scripture for today is coming your way to encourage you and to help you understand that your bad and useless wife and children are not closed cases.

You must be convinced beyond any shadow of doubt that what God has promised, He will and is able to perform. This is where your hope and confidence lies. Your hope is not with men, complaining, murmuring, unforgiveness, bitterness and hatred. Your hope for a rewarding and enjoyable relationship with your wife and children is founded in Christ Jesus. If you understand that Jesus Christ lived with the twelve disciples-all manifesting different attitudes- joyfully till the end, you will appreciate that after all your wife and children are not perfect. They are all work in progress. And as you walk in hope for a better life for members of your flock, God will crown you with glory, honour and peace (Rom.2:10). You are a worker of good, and knowing full well that keeping your family as a compact fortress is God’s will (Mal.2:14, Matt.19:5-8), then you cannot but be blessed by God. Your faith must come alive to trust that God can help your wife and children become all that He created them to be. You must be persuaded in your spirit that the word of God is the weapon you need to effect the change. Therefore, hold onto to what God has said and let it inspire faith in your heart to becoming a good and godly husband.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every satanic hold of discouragement and hopelessness and doubt.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, stir up a higher dimension of faith in my life.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every form of filthiness and hidden sin.

FAITH CONFESSION

I refuse to give up on God, my wife and children because I have the word of God working inside of me and the wonderful Spirit of Jesus thereby making me a good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
