One question that agitates the mind of the husbandman is how he can become the good and godly man, husband and father at the same time. Some seek for answers in drugs, others in adultery, while some in alcohol. There are still those who seek answers from the world systems. In all these, the husbandman is still frustrated and unable to become the good and godly shepherd. But where lies the answer? It is in the Word of God.
Search the Scriptures, for in it ye think ye have life (Jn.5:39)
The Word of God has all the answers to your questions of how you can become the good and godly husbandman. What you must do is to own a Bible and be committed to searching it daily because in it you will find truth (Ps.119:105).
Having discovered the truth from the Word of God, you must believe what the Word says and submit to the instructions, guidance and directions (Heb.11:1). And as you walk by faith, you must be patient in seeing the Word of God comes to pass in your life (Job 14:14).
You must seal your commitment to word study and walking by faith with faith-filled declaration. Keep declaring who God says you are, and not what your present negative posture is saying. Even if you fail, don’t give up and don’t give in to your old life. Keep your Word-based declarations on.
The Word of God is the truth, the way and the life. God’s Word has the power to make you the good and godly husbandman. Embrace the Word and be like Jesus Christ to your wife, to your children, in your home and in the marketplace (Jn.15:1-5).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, uproot every ungodly seed I have planted in my life as the man, husband and father in the past.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to receive Your Word into my life and let it impact my decisions as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to hold onto Your Word and let it yield godly fruits.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have decided to start engaging the Word of God because it is the seed I must allow into my life to make me the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
