Let us take the fourth capsule.
Capsule 4: INSIDE EVERY HUSBAND IS A NATION
And I will make of thee a GREAT NATION and I will bless thee and make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing (Gen.12:2)
Did you know that inside every husbandman is a nation? If you did not, please know that today. But what makes me a nation and why so? You are a nation because you are the carrier of seed. In the main text today, God spoke to Abraham, the husband of Sarah about the potential he had. At the time God said that “He will make Abraham a great nation, he had no child of his own. Several years down the lane, his potential as a great nation began to emerge. He brought forth Isaac, who brought forth Jacob. And Jacob brought forth 12 sons who eventually become the nation of Israel.
This is very significant for you, and that is, you must guard against sexual immorality. As the husbandman who wants to become the good and godly man, husband and father, you must never be careless with your seed. Inside your seed is that son or daughter that will impact the world positively for Jesus Christ. You are a nation. And the Bible assures you that you shall see your children’s children to the fourth generation. And to that extent, you must invest your resources-spiritual, emotional, physical, financial and conduct-into the lives of your children so that they can replicate themselves in righteousness on the earth.
But how do you activate the potential of the seed inside you for good and for God? The first thing you must do is to have a personal relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ. He that is born of the flesh is flesh and he that is born of the Spirit is spirit (Jn.3:6). This is called the law of spiritual regeneration. Because you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, you are now reconnected to a new lineage. This means that everything that comes from you is after the nature of Christ (Gal.3:7,13-14). Secondly, you must be conscious of and walk in the new understanding that you are a nation and not just an ordinary shepherd. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Pro.23:7). You cannot be greater than the level of your thought. Thirdly, you must engage the weapon of fasting and prayer to enforce the manifestation of your potential as a nation (Mk.9:29). Fourthly, you must walk by faith and not sight. For by faith, they obtain the promises…. (Heb.11:33b).
God has designed you for greatness. He has ordained you a transgenerational agent of blessing. You must see yourself the way God sees you. Don’t mind what you are seeing today and where you are now as the shepherd. You are a nation, a great nation, indeed.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus and by Your Spirit, make me see myself the way You see me.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to become a great nation indeed.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let my seed replicate and multiply as good and godly nation.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am what God says I am, and I work with God and partner with my wife to bring forth great seed (children) on the earth because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
