EMPOWERED TO BECOME BY PRAYER

Yesterday, on my way to minister at a marriage meeting in a church, the Person of the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to Genesis chapter 1 and verse 26-28. The revelation knowledge I received from Him is that when God blessed the man, God actually empowered him to be like God, hence he was able to name all the animals without going to any school or having a fore knowledge. My understanding has now opened to the truth that until you and I are empowered by the God through the Person of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be like the good and godly man, husband and father that God wants us to become.

Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE. Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Philippians 2:12-14)

From the Bible passage in Philippians chapter 2 and verse 13, it is clear that God is the only person who can empower you to desire and to do His good pleasure as the man, husband and father. Only God can make you to submit to Him in all things and only He alone can make you obey Him in all things. Without the empowerment of God through the Person of the Holy Spirit, you will struggle to fulfill God’s plan for your life as the husbandman (Zech.4:6, Jn.15:5).

Now that I know that I need the power of God to function as the good and godly husbandman, how do I receive the empowerment?

You receive power to become the good and godly husbandman by the weapon of prayer and fasting (Lev.6:9, Mk.9:29, Acts 2:1-4). The prayer platform is the altar of empowerment (Jer.33:3). You must engage and activate your prayer life by fervently asking for empowerment from God to perform. And the word of God is what you require as the wood that keeps your prayer altar burning continually. As you study the word of God to know the mind of God for you, you then engage the prayer weapon to ensure the reality of it in your life.

The good and godly change and growth you desire in your life as the husbandman is possible and it is a noble cause and it is the perfect will of God. Praying the word of God and praying in the Holy Ghost enables you to desire and to do the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband and father.

Are you ready to pray to God for empowerment to become the good and godly husbandman, because only by the strength of God can you prevail (1Sam.2:9)?

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour on me the spirit of grace and supplication for an effectual prayer life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to continue to connect to Your power to do Your perfect will.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to keep pressing on in prayers until I see the changes from Your word happen in my life.

FAITH CONFESSION

I continue to stand in prayer, praying the perfect will of God’s to be done in my life and doing those things that please Him because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
