Today’s teaching is inspired by the rising cases of challenged husbandmen in Christian marriages, leading to hopelessness, fear and despair. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you shall be victorious in all the challenges confronting you. Amen.
But this is what you must do.
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being FULLY PERSUADED that what he had promised he was able to perform (Rom.4:19-21)
The word of God says that you must be fully persuaded in God and His promises for you as the good and godly husbandman. You must understand that there is no perfect husbandman, including yourself. The second is that challenges would come but they can be overcome. Hence, no matter what the challenges are, you must see it as divine opportunity to demonstrate who you are in Jesus Christ as the good and godly man, husband and father.
Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman is the person you must look to for inspiration and guidance. Jesus Christ did not give up instead He took His rightful position as a victor over the challenges. That is the mindset God wants you to have.
You must let your faith come alive to trust God to help you become the combination of the good and godly man, husband and father. You must be persuaded in your spirit that the word of God is the weapon you need to effect the change you desire (Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15). Therefore, hold onto to what God has said in His word and let it inspire faith in your heart to becoming the good and godly husbandman and shepherd.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every satanic hold of discouragement, hopelessness, fear and doubt.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, stir up a higher dimension of faith in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every form of deceitfulness.
FAITH CONFESSION
I hold onto the word of God for my life as the man, husband and father and I am persuaded to engage the word as I walk the path to becoming the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
