DAY 43 of FASTING AND PRAYER

As the husbandman, your perfect example and model of the good and godly man, husband and father, is Jesus Christ. The life of Christ, when He walked the earth, is what you must emulate and follow.
Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb.12:1-2)
God wants you to look to Jesus Christ for the example of how you are to relate with your wife, your children and those around you. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. If you want to know how to be the good and godly man, husband and father, then look at the personality of Jesus Christ and follow His examples.
But what makes Jesus Christ the perfect model of the good and godly husbandman and why should I follow and walk in the steps of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman?
The first reason is that Jesus Christ is perfect and He is love (Eph.5:25). Your pastor, bishop, or earthly father is not perfect. They have their shortcomings and weaknesses, but Jesus Christ doesn’t.
Secondly, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. When you follow Jesus Christ, He guides you in the way you relate with your wife, your children, and how to conduct your life. He teaches you the truth and helps you to understand your covenant responsibilities.
Thirdly, Jesus Christ is the light and life that you need to be useful as husbandmen (Jn.1:4, Jn.10:10). Following after the examples of Jesus Christ will attract the loyalty, respect, honour and faithfulness you deserve and desire from your wife and children. The more of His life you have manifesting in and through you, the more attractive you become to your wife, children and the world.
Walking in the steps of Jesus Christ and following after His examples is the best way you can grow, develop and manifest the characteristics of the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to follow You in all things and walk in Your steps.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey You and all Your instructions, joyfully.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be like You in my thoughts, words, action and conduct.
FAITH CONFESSION
I follow after Jesus and walk in His steps because I am committed to becoming like the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
