DAY 60 of FASTING AND PRAYER

When I was a child, I spake like a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things (1Cor.13:11)
God wants every husbandman to grow into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. And for the husbandman to be like Jesus, there are habits and conduct that he must put away if he wants to become the good and godly husbandman.
But what must I do to grow as the husbandman so I become like Jesus Christ to my wife and my children and in the marketplace?
Now, one of the principal ways you can grow up and become the matured man, husband and father in things of God, is by taking personal responsibility to study the word of God, and engage the forces of prayer and fasting (Mk.9:29). The word of God is God’s manual of instructions, commandments and precepts (Pro.4:20-22, Ps.119:105, Jn.8:32). As you keep searching, you will keep discovering a new and a living way of how God wants you to conduct the affairs of your life as the husbandman.
You must take personal responsibility to continually think on the word of God and engage the forces of the spirit of grace and supplication so you can see from Scriptures the picture of who you are in Jesus (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Jn.14:26).
You must keep praying for empowerment of the Holy Ghost so you are empowered in obeying all that God commands from His word (Deut.28:1, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3, Gal.4:19, Ezk.2:2, Jn.5:39, Philp.2:13, Jn.15:5, Rom.5:5). Remember that without the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, you cannot obey all of God’s commandments (Jn.15:5).
As the husbandman, you must always remember that you are a three-in-one personality. You are the man, the husband and the father. And the perfect will of God is for you to be like Jesus Christ in all aspects of your responsibilities as the man, husband and father. Therefore, arise and take up your bed and give yourself passionately to the work in the word of God and you will experience steady growth and improvement as the good and godly husbandman (Jn.15:4).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to grow in Your word for my life as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let Your word dwell richly in me and let it influence my walk and work.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to dominate the influences of the flesh and make me to live by Your word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I take personal covenant responsibilities for my growth and development because that is the pathway for me to continue to grow and develop into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
