DAY 64 of FASTING AND PRAYER
Bible Texts: Heb.12:2, Eph.5:12, Acts 1:1, Philp.3:17, 1Thess.1:6, Lk.18:1, Jn.1:4, Jn.3:16, Jos.1:6-8, Eph.5:25, Jn.14:26, Mk.9:29, Acts 10:32-36, 2Cor.5:17
The walk of the husbandman is a journey, and if you and I must make it as the good and godly husbandman, we must look to Jesus Christ and walk in His path (Eph.5:1-2).
Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb.12:1-2)
As the husbandman, walking in the steps of Jesus Christ is walking in the pathway of truth, strength, wisdom, courage, kindness, mercy, unforgiveness and faith. That is what God wants you to do today. God wants you to look to Jesus Christ and walk in His ways.
But why should I follow and walk in the steps of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman?
Firstly, it is because Jesus Christ is perfect and He is love. He also represents everything about the love of God that God wants you to extend to your wife and children (1Cor.13:4-9).
The husband should love his wife as Christ has loved the church (Eph.5:25)
Secondly, it is because Jesus Christ makes all things new, and He also gives a fresh start that leads to a life of freedom in goodness and righteousness.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new (2Cor.5:17)
Thirdly, it is because Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
I am the way, the truth and the life.
Finally, it is because Jesus Christ represents the light and life that you need to be useful as the husbandman.
……that ye may have life and have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10)
So, walking in the steps of Jesus Christ by following after His examples is the best way you can grow, develop and manifest the characteristics of the good and godly husbandman.
Hallelujah!
