I travail in birth until Christ is formed in you…(Gal.4:19)
Prayer is an important spiritual discipline that the husbandman needs to have. Praying for yourself is not an option for you as the husbandman. It is a necessity. It is a commandment. It is the supernatural force that empowers you to do the perfect will of God as the man, husband, and father.
But why is prayer an indispensable weapon of warfare for my victory as the husbandman?
Prayer builds your power base, strengthens your confidence and faith in God (Ps.40:1-3, Jer.33:3). Prayer also connects you to the supernatural power of God that puts you in command of the circumstances of life, giving you authority to stop the influences of satan, sin and the world in and around your life and the lives of your wife and children (Lk.10:19, Jn.10:10, Heb.11:30-32, Rev.12:10-11). Prayer empowers you to grow and mature in the things of God because you are now able to hear from God on what to do, what steps to take, where to go, how to go about your plans and decisions, what to say, and the ability to discern (Is.30:21).
As the husbandman, you are helpless without the help of God. That is why you must keep engaging the weapon of prayer as a lifestyle so you can be like Jesus Christ.
Without me you can do nothing (Jn.15:5)
God wants you to be the good and godly man, husband and father, after the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, but you need the help of God to make that happen. This is why you must pray without ceasing and keep your prayer altar burning (1Thess.5:17, Lev.6:9).
Therefore, keep praying until Christ is formed in you, thereby making you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of laziness and slumber.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of grace and supplication.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to keep my prayer altar burning by Your word and power.
FAITH CONFESSION
I receive the spirit of grace and supplication to intercede and pray so that the perfect will of God can manifest in our lives because that is the covenant demand of the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
