The relationship so many husbandmen have with God, their wife, and their children has become cold and unattractive. They are not happy pursuing the assignment of becoming the good and godly husbandman anymore.
This is why, today’s message is inspired by the Person of the Holy Spirit to motivate and empower the husbandman to continue to seek the love of Christ to be shed abroad in his heart so that he can be like Jesus Christ in all things.
And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us (Rom.5:5)
Until the husbandman has the love of Jesus Christ planted firmly in his heart, it will be difficult for him to love his wife as Christ has loved the church, and nurture his children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4).
The love of Christ, when firmly rooted in your heart, empowers you to obey all the commandments and instructions of Scripture for you as the man, husband and father.
The love of Christ empowers you to manifest the virtue of the good and godly shepherd to your wife and your children (Jn.10:1-2, 1Cor.13:4-8).
But for the love of Christ to be planted in your heart and be effectual in your life, you must desire it, because the desire of the righteous shall not be cut off. You must also delight in the Word of God by studying and meditating on it as a lifestyle (Ps.119:105). You must engage with the spiritual weapons of faith-filled prayer, fasting, and bold declaration (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Rom.10:10).
God wants you to walk in His love as the husbandman. He also wants you to express His love to your wife and your children, because that is the only way you can reflect Christ’s nature as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower Your love to be shed abroad in my heart by Your Word and Spirit.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to demonstrate Your love to my wife and children as You would.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain in Your word and help me to obey Your instructions for me as the husbandman
FAITH CONFESSION
The love of Jesus Christ is firmly rooted in my heart, and by the empowerment of the Person of the Holy Ghost, I manifest the fullness of Christ’s love to my wife and children and in the marketplace because God has ordained me to live as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
