As the good and godly husbandman, you must recognize that your wife and your children are motivated to follow your leadership by what they see you do, rather than what they hear you say. Your conduct, actions and words are more powerful than a lifetime of sermons. And to appreciate the importance of a good and godly leadership that commands influence, you must understand that you must learn to be under Jesus Christ, who is your Head.
But I would have know, that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the Christ is God (1Cor.11:3)
As the good and godly husbandman, when you recognize that Christ is your Head and you do all that He commands you to do, collectively as the man, husband and father, then the impact will influence your wife and children to follow your leadership. This is how you make positive impact at home and become a good and godly influence.
Therefore, stop announcing to your wife that you are her head. You don’t need to. She doesn’t want you to say it to her. Stop demanding followership and submission from your wife and your children. What you must start doing is to demonstrate strong leadership by your good and godly actions, conduct, words and responses. And you will be amazed how quickly you will earn their followership, respect, submission, and honour from them.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my will, emotions, and my body to You.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my life, my soul and my thoughts as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, please let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.
FAITH CONFESSION
I consciously and willingly declare You, Jesus Christ, as the Lord over my life because that is the gateway for me to become the good and godly influence over my wife and children and in the marketplace as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
