Bible Texts: Philp.2:5, Jn.14:26, Mk.9:29, Gal.4:19, Rev.12:11, Lk.6:45, Pro.4:23, Lk.18:1, Matt.26:41-42, 2Cor.5:17, Jn.3:4-8, 1Cor.15:33
The teaching topic today is taken from Philippians chapter 2 and verse 5, and it is intended to help every husbandman understand that until the mind of Christ is in him, he cannot think, act, and conduct himself like Christ would to his wife, his children and in the marketplace. When he has the mind of Christ, he will not conform to the rudiments of this world.
But how does the husbandman have the mind of Christ?
He must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting Him as his Lord and Saviour (Jn.3:4-8).
He must remain and be in love with Jesus Christ by always doing God’s perfect will in every circumstance (Rom.6:1-2, 2Cor.5:17).
He must own a Bible and keep searching the Scripture because in it he will find the mind of Christ for everything (Jn.5:39).
He must continue to think on the Word of God so the Spirit of the Word will gain access into his spirit man to empower him walk in the reality of the Word (Jos.1:6-8, Ezk.2:2, Ps.1:1-3).
He must engage the forces of prayer and fasting to receive empowerment to bring every ungodly, unrighteous and wandering thoughts into captivity (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Acts 1:1, Gal.4:19).
He must surround himself with good and godly relationships, associations, environment and materials such as books and music, because they are channels of influence (Ps.51:10, 1Cor.15:33).
As the husbandman, the quality of your mind determines the quality of your life, and you cannot be greater or act better than the content and value of your mind; hence you need to have the mind of Christ so you can become the good and godly man, husband and father.
Hallelujah!
