KEEP PRESSING TOWARDS THE GOAL!

I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ….And I run toward the goal to take the victory of the calling of God……..(Philp.3:14-15)

As the husbandman, you must understand that as you lead yourself, your wife, your children and your home, challenges will come. A lot of the times, the challenges may seem overwhelming. But the Word of God wants you to keep pressing even amid the obstacles, pressure and challenges.

But what are you pressing towards?

God wants you to press towards your glorious destiny in Jesus. God has ordained you to become the good and godly man, husband and father to your wife and children.

God wants you to press towards the authority and power in Christ given to you so you can dominate and protect your home, your wife and children from ungodly influences (Lk.10:19).

God wants you to continue to press towards making your wife a vessel of honour by loving her as Christ has loved you and the church (Eph.5:25-27, Col.3:19).

God wants you to continue to press towards making your children signs and wonders on the earth (Is.8:18, Is.61:9).

As the husbandman, nobody will take the responsibility of pressing towards the goal in Christ for you, because since the time the kingdom of God is preached, every man pressed unto it (Lk.16:16). Therefore, you must stop watching God’s treasure (your wife and your children) being wasted; you must stop watching your home being harassed by satan, sin and the world; you must stop watching your family life sliding away from God’s glorious heritage for it. Now is the time for you to take your place in Christ, press and keep pressing towards the goal of your high calling because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my faith to believe all things and never give up on You and Your word for my life as the man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every root of hopelessness, fear, and discouragement in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pursue, tirelessly, Your perfect will for my life as the husbandman.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have faith, trust and hope in God and His word and I press towards the mark of the high calling to become a vessel of honour unto God because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
