PRAYING EFFECTIVELY

Bible Texts: Eph.6:18, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Lk.10:19, Heb.11:11:2, Jn.3:3-5, Heb.11:6, Ps.24:1-2, Heb.10:35, Jn.10:10, 2Tim.2:15, 2Cor.5:17

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Eph.6:18)

Prayer and supplication remain an indispensable weapon in the hands of the good and godly husbandman to make great things happen in his life, and his family.  This is why a prayerless husbandman is a powerless husbandman. And a prayerful husbandman is a powerful husbandman.

Now, how does the husbandman pray and receive answers?

He must be born again and remain in Jesus Christ (Jn.3:3-7, 2Cor.5:17).

He must give attention to the Word of God by studying it and meditating on the Word (Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3, 2Tim.2:15). Praying according to the Word of God guarantees answers because you are praying the perfect the will of God.

He must continue to walk in the fear and admonition of the Lord by always doing the right thing in every circumstance.

He must come to God by faith and continue to walk by faith, trusting in the Lord. This is because it is only through faith in God and in His word that any husbandman can obtain answers from the Lord (Heb.11:2).

As the husbandman, there is no challenge you are confronted with right now that you cannot overcome, if only you are ready to engage the weapons of faith-filled prayer. God is ready to answer you, if only you call on Him (Jer.33:3). You are not alone; God is with you.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of grace and supplication.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, stir up a prayer revival in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pray aright and give me victory over the works of satan, sin and the world.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am praying always and without ceasing, using the word of God as my foundation that is the empowerment I need to lead as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
