Worth More Bread

Lust not after her beauty in thine heart, neither let her take thee with her eyelids. For means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life (Pro.6:25-26)

As the husband and the head of your family, do you know that your soul is precious in the sight of God? Do you know how much value God places on your soul? Well, this is the reason why satan is hunting after it through lust and adultery. Adultery diminishes every husband from a king to a piece of bread according to Scriptures. Don’t be deceived by her beauty. Don’t be deceived by her eyelids. Don’t be deceived by her charisma. Your wife may not be as beautiful as other women. She may not have all the attractions like the other women you are lusting after in your heart. But remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. After all, your wife was very beautiful when you married her.

So, how do I overcome the attractions of the whorish woman? The first step is to be spiritual by feeding your heart and mind with godly words. Secondly, you must create the environment that encourages righteous conversations. Thirdly, you must continue to engage the power of prayer and fasting so that you can be empowered to overcome temptations. Jesus speaking said, pray that ye fall not into temptation. And in Lk.18:1, the word of God says, men ought to always pray and not faint. And finally, you must keep resisting the suggestions to camp with the adulterous woman by confessing the truth from God’s word and speaking in the language of the spirit. As the spiritual authority in your family kingdom, your adversary, satan, hates the truth that you are the head. He wants to destroy your family and he wants to use adultery as a bait to capture you and through that make you a piece of bread. Don’t allow him.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE:

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of the adulterous woman and her influences.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower with the spirit of holiness and boldness to resist temptation.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me unattractive to the strange woman and its offers.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am more than a piece of bread. I am precious in the eyes of God and in the lives of my wife and children because I am a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
