Father (1)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Eph.6:3-4

More Scriptures: Jos.24:15, Gen.4:1, Deut.32:7

In the last couple of days, we have been empowered by the Holy Ghost to fully understand who we are as godly men and husbands, and what God expects us to do. I am trusting God that if you are the good man, you start working to become the godly man and be better at what you do. And if you are the husband, you will also work to become the godly husband and be a star shepherd to your wife.

Today, we as conclude the teaching, it is important for you to know that God is orderly. He loves His people to behave orderly. After, He made the man (Gen.1:26), He made Him the husband (Gen.2:18) and thereafter He made him the father (Gen.4:1). So, God doesn’t want the man to break this divine order so that he can grow to become the good and godly husbandman. This is why we started out with the man, the husband and now the father.

A father is the seed carrying agent and seed bearing agent. This means that he has the seed that is planted in the womb of a woman resulting in the birth of a child or children. So, a father has children with women he is not married to. He plants his seed carelessly into any woman. This is why I remarked years ago by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that any man can be a father but not any man can be a husband.

The father is also a seed carrying agent and seed bearing agent but he plants his seeds into his wife he legally married. He provides for the children-good education, decent accommodation, trending dresses and exotic vacations. He is aware that he has children but he is hardly available for them to teach and instruct them in the way of the Lord. This was exactly what happened to Priest Eli. Although he was priest serving God, he failed as a father. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house when I begin, I will also make an end. For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knoweth because his sons made themselves vile and he restrained them not (1Sam.3:12-13). So, the father may be a fantastic provider but he raises failed children. God doesn’t want you alone to be godly; He also wants you to raise good and godly children. God wants you to raise generation of men and women that will bring God’s light to the dark places of life- children that will stand up against the enemy and speak the truth; children that will bring many to righteousness and godly living. You must understand that any husband can be a father, but not many fathers can be godly and raise godly children. God wants you to do much more to your children-raising goodly and godly children.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with unusual grace to be a godly example to my children.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to always please You as it concerns my children.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every spirit of idleness and irresponsibility.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have been empowered by the Holy Ghost to lead, instruct and nurture my children as Christ commands because that is what makes the good and godly father in Jesus Name. Amen.
