THE HUSBANDMAN IS AN ARK BUILDER

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Job 5:12,

More Scriptures: Ps.24:1-4, Ps.15:1-2, Gen.18:19

Every husband has been called both to be a builder and a destroyer. By reason of your calling by God as a husband, you have been empowered to build the ark of safety just the same way the husband Noah built the ark of safety for his family. In our text today, the Bible tells us about a husband named Noah. This man was righteous and he walked in integrity before God. In the whole earth, God singled him out to build the ark of safety against the impending danger that was to come. God gave him the design and after he built the ark, God commanded him on who should enter the ark. And alas, when the flood came, only his family and all that were in the ark were saved. Don’t forget that the man had a wife but God chose to give him the task of building the ark because as a husband, you are the shepherd and the head of your family.

Today, God is calling all husbands to begin to build the ark of safety for their families against the flood of evil that has pervaded the whole earth. Iniquity, sin, and all form of evil are daily being perpetrated by evil people. New ways of committing evil is daily being devised and perfected by evil doers. You may not be able to stop them from carrying out their evil plans, but you can secure your family from their plans and devices. In Job 5:12, it says he disappointed the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. The world we live in today is advancing in wickedness and craftiness. No wonder the Bible says that the wicked will do more wickedly and the earth lies in wickedness. The ark is the place of safety, protection and provision for your family members, where they become immune to the wind of unrighteousness, which has wrecked many families. As a husband, you are the head and one of the responsibilities that you have towards your family is to bring under the cover of God. Those that will enter your ark are your wife, children and as many people that are connected to you. Noah when had built the ark, brought his wife, his sons and his sons’ wives into the ark. If you fail to build the ark, then your family is like a house without a roof, where anything can happen to them in the negative.

However, only a righteous husband can access the materials needed to build the ark. In Ps.24:1-3 and Ps.15:1-2, the Bible says that only those persons who walk uprightly, work righteousness and speak the truth in their hearts shall abide in the tabernacle. No wonder the person who was qualified to access the materials needed to build the ark was Noah. In Genesis 6:8-9, he was described as husband who walked with God. God is holy and anyone who must associate with him must be holy. Holiness is the foundation
