Are you a husband reading this devotional and it seems all hope is lost for you to recover your business, finances, health, courage and faith? Are you at a cross road and you don’t know what next to do? Are the negative circumstances in and around you causing you to be depressed and thinking of committing suicide? If you fall into any of this, whether as the man, husband and father, I have good news for you from the word of God. There is abundance of rain. The dew of heaven is coming down upon you and all that you represent. You shall not die in that situation. God is making a way for you.
But why will God make a way for me and what do I need to know? The first step is for you to know that God loves you and He wants the best for you. He knows very well what it requires for you to succeed as the man, husband and father. And He has equipped you to succeed. When you allow this truth that God loves you to take over your thoughts, you will see hope in that unpleasant situation. God is your father. The second is for you to build your hope in God and in His promises and in His word. And this you can do by trusting everything He says notwithstanding the challenges. These few Scriptures will help your faith. I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3Jn.:2). Another is this. The silver is mine and the gold is mine. The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want (Ps.23:1). I will never leave you nor forsake you. God has the best plans for you. He understands very well that you require financial and material empowerment to make the most of your headship, so He is committed to sending rain of abundance to you. I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10b).
These are the ways you can trigger the windows of heaven to be opened to you. The first is for you to have a quality relationship with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit because they are the custodian of wealth and riches. God speaking said, the silver is mine and the gold is mine (Hag.2:8). The Bible also says of God that he will open the windows of heaven and pour out the blessings (Mal.3:10). Secondly, you must be a consistent, faithful and cheerful giver. This demands that you give to promote the work of your church, give to your wife and children, give to your parents, give to the less privileged, give to those in need. Thirdly, you must fight against the spirit of waste and develop a saving culture. Fourthly, you must pray for open heavens. And lastly, you must continue to ask for the spirit of wisdom because by wisdom the house is built. You are the good shepherd and you are built for prosperity.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the giving grace and make me a cheerful giver.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the power to get wealth and prosperous.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, open me up to creative ideas and make them fruitful.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am destined to be a prosperous and rich godly husbandman because that is the will of God for me as the good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
