HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT TO DO

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Jn.6:1-6

More Scriptures: Jd.1:20, Jn.14:26, Matt.13:54

After this, Jesus went across the Sea of Galilee (some call it Tiberias). A huge crowd followed him………… When he got to the otherside, he climbed a hill and sat down, surrounded by his disciples. It was nearly time for the Feast of Passover ………………. When Jesus looked out and saw that a large crowd had arrived, he said to Philip, where can we buy bread to feed these people? He said this to stretch Philip’s faith. HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO (Jn.6:1-6) MSG

Let me begin by saying that no godly husband is permitted to be stranded in life and family. No matter what the challenges are between him and his sheep, there is a way out for him. As the head of your family and the shepherd over your sheep, you have the mind of Christ and you have been empowered by the Holy Ghost to solve the problems that would come in your sheepfold. This is the testimony of Jesus Christ; whose Spirit is at work in you. Don’t forget that He is the Groom and you have His nature as the husband. He is also the shepherd and you have His nature. When He came face to face with feeding the crowd, three things were obvious. Firstly, the location where they were was a desert, so there was no superstore or grocery market. Secondly, the people had followed Jesus Christ for so many days listening to Him teach. Thirdly, the people had exhausted the food they had on them save for the boy who had two fishes and five bread. All of these circumstances were adequate enough to trigger a revolt in the camp. The situation was overwhelming.

But Jesus did not panic. He was calm. The Bible said He did two things. The first was that He asked the people to sit in groups. The second was that He asked if anyone had some food. That is the composure God wants you to have. When it looks as if your sheep have gone haywire and it seems all the walls are crumbling on you and your sheepfold, that is when you manifest the character that makes you the head of your family-cool, calm and calculated.

However, you need to do three things if you want to enjoy continuous victory over the attack of satan against your life and sheepfold. The first is that you must daily build yourself up in your most holy faith by giving attention to the word of God and believing all His promises for you, your wife and children and your sheepfold (Jude 1:20). The second is for you to walk very closely with the Person of the Holy Spirit so that He can teach you all things and show you the right way of escape for you (Jn.14:26). The third is for you to give yourself to a life of prayers and supplication both for you and your sheep because that is your surest way to be unshakable when the storms show up (Lk.18:1).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to build my faith in You and Your word.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me deepen my relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit for a victorious life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of grace and supplication that I may lead my wife and children effectively.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the mind of Christ and therefore I am in charge of the happenings in my sheepfold because I always know what to do as the man, husband and father in Jesus Name. Amen.
