OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE (1)

If you are not living in Nigeria, you may not understand what operation Lafiya Dole means, except you are following the happenings of the activities of the Nigerian army in the North East of Nigeria against the activities of the terrorist group, Boko haram. Lafiya Dole is a Hausa terminology that means to seek peace at all cost. Operation Lafiya Dole is the Mission statement of the Nigerian Military to confront the Boko Haram terrorist group that have wreaked havoc in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria. It was initiated by the military high command. The operation is to ensure peace in the region at all cost, even at the risk of losing the lives of the soldiers. It is the height of service and commitment to protecting the territorial integrity of the Nigerian state.

Now, as the head of your family, it is your duty and covenant responsibility to enforce peace in your family even at the cost of your convenience. Jesus speaking in Jn.17 explains to us how He was able to keep His flock despite the threat from the enemy. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world but that thou shouldest keep them from evil. They are not of this world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word. That they all may be one as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee that they also may be one in is that they world may believe that thou hast sent me (Jn.17:15-21). Jesus, the perfect example of a good and godly husband ensured peace within His sheepfold, even at the expense of His convenience. He interceded for them, came through for them and enforced orderliness among His disciples. That is who you are.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the   Name of Jesus, teach me how to lead the war against the enemy of my family fold.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, continue to prompt me to seek for excellence and peace in all my relationships.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to enforce the peace of God in my family fold.

FAITH CONFESSION

I enforce the peace of God that passes all understanding in my family fold because that is my godly heritage as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
