CAST ALL YOUR CARES UPON HIM (2)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Matt.11:28-30

More Scriptures: Jn.3:16, Ps.23:1, Gen.3:21

Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light (Matt.11:28-30)

I want you to understand that Jesus Christ, the perfect example of a good and godly husband, is a burden bearer. He can carry all those challenges that seem to take your focus away from God and His promises for you as the head of the family. The truth is that to function as God would want you to in your capacity as a man, a husband and a father requires much more. It is a huge assignment. In fact, you need the grace of God to effectively function in these areas of the husbandman because each one of these aspects comes with its responsibilities. The joy is that because God placed you as the head, He wants you to succeed. But you have to learn to cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you. As the head of your family, your trust in God is what empowers you to go to Him with all your challenges. In Ps. 34:5, the Scripture tells us that they looked unto Him and they were lightened and their faces were not ashamed. It is the person you trust that you run to when you are in trouble because you believe he or she can help you.

As a leader, you must have confidence in God, His word, and His ability. If he says, He careth for you, He is not lying. Another wisdom key you must adopt is to learn to always go to Him through prayers. Praying to God is a proof that you trust Him. Prayer is a conversation between you and God. It is the cord that binds your expectation and His manifestation. But you must know that the prayer that God will answer is the prayer of faith. Furthermore, you must lay all and not some of your cares at His feet and never take it back. When you cast your cares upon Him, remind yourself of the declaration that Jesus, the perfect example of a good and godly husband, made on the Cross, when He said, IT IS FINISHED.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to lay all my cares at Your feet.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me not to take back the cares that I have laid at Your feet.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to trust You in all things and at all times.

FAITH CONFESSION

At your feet oh Lord, I lay all my cares and worries because I know that You care for me as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
