WHO’S IN YOUR INNER CIRCLE?

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Matt.17:1-2

More Scriptures: Pro.31:11, Gal.6:6, 1Cor.16:7

One of the most remarkable things that have happened since I started the work of raising good and godly husbandmen is divine encounters. God, through the Holy Ghost, reveals depth from Scriptures I never imagined I knew before. And so, I want to share with every husbandman one of such encounters I had from the word of God. Sometime ago, I embarked on a journey to Kaduna, Nigeria. While in the car, I had an encounter with the Spirit of God about the relationship between Jesus and Peter, James and John. As powerful as Jesus Christ, the Perfect example of how husbands are to behave, is, He had an inner circle-that is His Senior Management Team. The members of this circle had something in common-they had the same vision. As a husband, do you have an inner circle? And if you do, who are those in your inner circle? Are they your friends? Are they your parents? Are they your pastors? Are they your sex mates or girlfriends? Do you share common values with them? This is so important because those in your inner circle have a significant role to play in your life. They either make you or break you.

Now, let me mention who should constitute your inner circle. Your inner circle members are your wife and children. Yes! Your wife and children constitute your Management team. Your wife should have access into your deepest thoughts. She should know first-hand what others don’t know about you. She should and must be your confidante. As the head of your family, you are not safe when it is your mistress that is a member of your inner circle or any other person outside your flock. Jesus discussed deep things with Peter, James and John. These were His friends. They knew what others didn’t know. They could reach the heart and mind of Jesus Christ. They were His friends. God’s intention for you when He gave you your wife was for you to make her your best friend and not your worst enemy. His will is for you to have a united relationship with her. So, if you do not see this happening between you and your wife, know that it is the devil that is at work. The devil tries to compromise your trust for your wife and children by planting the seeds of doubt in your heart. The result is that you would prefer to discuss very sensitive and private matters with outsiders rather than your wife and or children. Therefore, for you to make your wife and children core members of your inner circle, you must take the following steps. Firstly, develop confidence in them by commending them for every act of good that they do. Secondly, tell them how much you trust them and train them on how to manage trust. As the head of your family and the leader over your wife and children, you have a responsibility to teach your flock. As you keep mentoring your wife and children, they would uphold the trust you have in them as your inner circle of friends.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the teaching grace to teach my wife and children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every trap of distractions.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, set me free from ungodly relationships.

FAITH CONFESSION

I reconstitute my inner circle and make my wife and children members because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband and father, in Jesus Name. Amen.
