Yesterday, by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, you were taught about the need not to subsidize or devalue the worth of your wife and children. Today, you may want to know the force responsible for the misbehavior of your sheep which has made you to devalue them. It is from the Gospel according to Matthew. It is the 13th chapter. Although it is a rather long scripture, however, I encourage you to read the entire chapter because in it you will find life.
Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man which had sown GOOD SEED in his field. But while men slept, HIS ENEMY came and sowed TARES among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the TARES also. So, the servants of the HOUSEHOLDER came and said unto him, sir, didst not thou sow GOOD SEED in THY FIELD? From whence then hath it TARES? He said unto to them, AN ENEMY hath done this. The servants said unto him, wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Matt.13:24-28. Anything you see in and around your wife and children that is not good has been planted by the enemy. Whatever manifestation that you find your flock display that brings dishonor, pain and regrets to your family is being influenced by your enemy.
Now, who is your enemy? Jn.10:10 provides you the answer. The thief cometh not, but for to STEAL, and to KILL and to DESTROY…….. Satan is your enemy. He is the person who is influencing your sheep to misbehave. Satan is the invisible hand working disobedience in the lives of your wife and children. Your wife and children are good seeds. God gave them to you as good creatures (1Tim.4:4). But satan sowed the tares in your household. He is the one who has corrupted your flock. Your wife and children are not your enemies. The real enemy is the devil. So, for you to recover the dignity of your flock, you must look beyond your wife and children as the source. Instead, you look at satan who is behind their misbehaviour. Secondly, you must resist the devil steadfastly in faith and bold declarations of the word of God. Thirdly, you must daily plead the precious blood of Jesus Christ over their will, thoughts and emotions (Rev.12:11). Fourthly, you must engage the twin power of prayer and fasting to dislodge satanic influence and restore godly virtues (Mk.9:29). Fifthly, you apply the wonders of the word of God to every sick areas of their attitude (1Tim.4:4). Don’t give the devil a foothold in the lives of your sheep and sheepfold. Take the battle to his gate and recover the prestige of your wife and children because that is your heritage in Christ as the good and godly shepherd.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, by Your blood, restore my dignity as the head of my family and leader in my home.
- Father, by the power in the blood of Jesus, I resist every satanic influence working in the lives of my wife and children.
- Father, by the power in the word of God, I recover the dignity and honour of my wife and children.
FAITH CONFESSION
I rescue my wife and children from satanic influences and establish them in the light of God’s word because that is where my honour lies as a good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
