YOUR VALIDATION IS IN JESUS CHRIST

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Rev.5:10-12

More Scriptures: 1Pet.2:9, Gen.1:28, Heb.12:2

One of the biggest challenges of the times we are in is identity crisis. A lot of husbandmen are seeking validation in drugs, unhealthy and ungodly relationships, crime and so much ungodly conduct because they do not know who they really are. And this explains the reason why we have continued to have an increasing number of husbandmen who are irresponsible, unreliable and unworthy. This is not the will of God for you and me. As the head of the family and the godly shepherd, God wants us to seek our validation in Him and this is why I want to ask this question today. WHO AM I?

As the good and godly husbandman and the head of the family, you are more important to God than your silver or gold. God wants you to live the fullness of all that He deposited in you. Now, who are you? Genesis, the Book of Beginning tells us who you really are. It says, “you are the husbandman, created in the image and likeness of God and you have dominion (Gen.1:26-28). You are also very good (Gen.1:28-31)”. What this means is that you have the seed of excellence in you both in conduct and attitude, and that translates into an excellent relationship with Jesus, the Head of the husbandhood, your wife and children and those around you. Therefore, whatever negatives you see around your spiritual, relational and physical life, is not your identity.

God wants you to give your best to your wife and children and the world. God wants you to lead your wife and children in the way of the Lord. God wants you to prosper. God does not want you to struggle and to be in bondage. God wants you to be like Him in all things and to all people. As the head and the spiritual leader in your home, your lifestyle and conduct both within and without must reflect the true nature of Jesus, the perfect example of how every husbandman must behave.

To appreciate and validate your identity, you must look to Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith…. (Heb.12:2). The more you look to Him, the deeper your desire to be like Him. Also, you must continue to challenge yourself to be the best of God to your wife and children as the good and godly man, husband and father by asking the question, who am I. You must never slip into the arrival lounge, that is complacency. Amos 6:1 warns you. Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are name chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came (Amos 6:1).

When you know who you are as the husbandman and validates your identity in Jesus Christ, you become empowered you to function as good and godly man, husband and father to your wife and children and in the market place of life.
