THE FORCE OF PRAYER (2)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Lk.21:25-27

More Scriptures: Matt.15:32, Jnh.2:7, Jos.21:45

Let us conclude the teaching series we started yesterday. I pray for the outpouring of the spirit of grace and supplication for you in Jesus name. Amen. As the good and godly shepherd, you must understand that prayer is the foundation of your victory over the works of the devil trying to manifest themselves in the lives of your wife, children, their health, academics, finances and many more areas. Every time you pray, you are building the power base of your life to challenge every ungodly tendency in and around your family. Your pastor cannot do much to build you power base. You have the greater responsibility to develop your prayer altar.  For instance, I encourage every husbandman to set aside days of the week, when he prays for himself and his family.

But what is prayer? Prayer is a spiritual seed that goes into the future to reshape the destinies and circumstances of your life and that of your wife and children. Prayer is not only about asking the Lord for bread and butter. It is also about building a relationship with God, your Father. As the head of the family, it is important that your wife and children see the nature of God the Father in you, if you want them to have a fatherly relationship with God. But you cannot achieve this if you don’t have a relationship with God, through prayers. Praying is communicating with God. It is a sign of maturity.

What then happens when I become the effectual praying husbandman? Firstly, you become a prevailing and victorious leader. This means you will begin to do exploit at home- you lay your hand on your sick wife and children and they recover, speaking a word in their direction and seeing the words come to pass in their lives and helping them to discover God’s plan for their lives. (Mk.16:16-18). Secondly, it also establishes your children in righteousness and glory (Ps.89:4). It is time for you to rise up and pray for your wife and children. Prayer is the key. It is the indeed, the master key.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, grant me the Spirit of grace and supplication
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, anoint my tongue for great exploits in my family
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, as I declare Your counsel over my wife and children, let it come to pass.

FAITH CONFESSION

My tongue has been anointed by God to impact my wife and children positively for His Kingdom because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
