THE FORCE OF PRAYER

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Luke 18:1

More Scriptures: Eph.6:18, Rom.12:12, 1Thess.5:17

And he (Jesus Christ) spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT FAINT. (Luke 18:1).

Prayer remains the most powerful force available for the good and godly husbandman to engage with for his personal growth and development and as he leads his wife and children. It is one platform that God has provided for the godly husbandman to connect to power from on high that will empower him to execute his functions to his wife and children and the market place of life as the godly man, husband and father. Hence, the Person of the Holy Spirit is reminding you and I that prayer is an indispensable weapon God has given to us to succeed.

Many husbandmen are fainting daily because of the pressure of life. They seemdejected, confused and without hope-not knowing what to do. Many more are struggling to lead their sheep in the pattern God has laid-dealing with a disobedient wife, handling wayward children, struggling financially to meet their obligations to their wives and children and other commitments, struggling with addiction. The list seems to be endless. But do you know the answer? Prayer!

The word of God commands that, “you are expected to pray always, even when the odds seem to be against you” Lk.18:1. Leading and providing good and godly leadership to your wife and children comes with its challenges. The work you do and assignment God has given to you to do on earth also come with its challenges. The only way you will not faint and not be discouraged, threatened or feel hopeless as the good and godly man, husband and father is to continue to engage the force of prayers. That is what Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, is telling you and me in our opening Bible passage in Lk.18:1. You must recognize if you want to prevail always and grow spiritually, you must continue to have unhindered and continuous devotion with God through the prayer altar.

But how do I make my prayer life effective? The first step is to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by giving your life to Him (Jn.3:1-6). This means that you must be born again. In 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17, the word says, if any be in CHRIST he is a new creature…..  The second is that you must live by faith. He that must come to God must first believe that He is and he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Heb.11:6). You must not be moved by the negative happenings around you rather be motivated by the ability of God to hear you in those area where you need His help to lead your wife and children. If you do not want to fail and faint, please pray always. It is your winning force as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXRCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, breathe fresh fire on my prayer altar.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of faith and help me always pray according to Your will.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of weariness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I give myself to a lifestyle of prayers because that is the force that empowers me to function as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
