THE LORD IS GOOD

Bible Texts: Nahum 1:7, Jer.29:11, 3Jn.2, Jn.10:10

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and he knoweth them that trust in him (Nah.1:7)

Have you been wondering if God who made you to head your wife and children is still good? May be the circumstances you find yourself presently is suggesting to you to cast doubt about the goodness of God. Again, the Bible says that God is good and He is good to you. Let this assurance give you hope, faith and confidence to move on as the good and godly husbandman.

But how do I know that the Lord is good to me?  For I (God) know the thought that I think towards you, thought of good and not evil to give you a hope and a future (Jer.29:11). The same way you do not think evil thought toward your wife and children because you are a good and godly husbandman, is also how God thinks good thoughts towards you. God feels your pains and understands your limitations and He is ready to help you because He loves you with an everlasting love. I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3Jn.:2). Jesus Christ wishes you well. God wants you to prosper in your spirit, in your relationship with your wife and children, in your work and in every aspect of your life. In Jn.10:10, the Scripture says that satan came to steal, to kill and to destroy but Jesus came that you may have life and have it in abundance (10:10).

God did not set out to hurt you. He wants the best for you and through you to your wife and children and the market place of life (Gen.12:2). God is your stronghold in the day of trouble. What you must do is to trust Him and His word. Whatever God says is what He will do. And like the Apostle of faith, Smith Wigglesworth once remarked, “God says it, I believe it, that settles it”. God has your back covered. You are coming out of that trouble.

Prayer Focus: Prayer For Health and Vitality (Day 36 of 70 Days)

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, preserve my life from the pestilence that flies in darkness (Ps.91:6)
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver us from every medical miscalculations and errors (Ps.107:20)
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me flourish like a palm tree, in my spirit, soul and body (Ps.92:12)
