As the good and godly husbandman, the Bible is God’s constitution for your leadership role as the godly man, husband and father. Your life and conduct are guided by the principles of the Bible and every answer you need to solve the challenges you may have with your life, wife and children is found in the Bible. But you must search for the Bible for yourself.
You must also recognize that the best book which presents the true picture of who my wife and children have been created to be, is the Bible. The Bible tells you of God’s intention for giving you a wife and blessing you with children. The Bible also teaches you the steps to take to maximize the potential and gifting that God has deposited inside your wife and children. The Bible also empowers you to lead your wife and children courageously and in faith. But you have a responsibility to own a Bible and search for it for answers.
In Jn.5:39, the word of God says, search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. As a leader, whom God has ordained to superintend over the lives of your wife and children, you must delight in the Scriptures as a lifestyle. You must also be intentional, working the Person of the Holy Spirit, to study, meditate and act on the word of God. This is very important because the time we are in are perilous times-satan is viciously attacking families- the very foundation of our existence. It is what you discover from the word of God that puts you in command of the affairs of your family as the head and keep satan, sin and the world at bay.
However, for you to find the answer and enjoy the fullness of the blessings of your search, you need to do the following. Firstly, you must engage the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit (Jn.14:26). He is the only Person who can interpret the Scripture for you. He opens your eyes to see much more than the letters of Scriptures. Secondly, you must be willing and ready to obey every instruction He teaches you. This is what I call humility. Thirdly, engage the force of fasting and prayers so that your ears can hear what God by His Spirit is telling you and your eyes can see what God is showing you from His word (Mk.9:29).
The Bible is your sure bet for a live of peace, quietness, victory and progress as the good and godly husbandman to your wife, children and in the market place of life.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me deep things about my role as a husband.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of pride and over estimation of self.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me both a hearer and doer of Your instructions.
FAITH CONFESSION
I make a vow to search my BIBLE always to know the plan of God for my wife and children because I am committed to becoming the good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
