Happy new month! Welcome to October 2022, the first month in the last quarter of the year 2022. I pray in the name of Jesus, that the remaining journey of this year shall bring to you and your family good tidings. God will do much more this last quarter than you may have attained since the year began. Amen and amen.

Glory be to Jesus Christ. We are in the last of the series we started five days ago. May the grace to be not just a hearer but a doer of same be available for you to the end that you become the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Let’s continue from where we stopped yesterday about what Jesus Christ did for His disciples when they were confronted and harassed by the tax authorities to pay their tax. Peter came to Jesus and complained about the pressure the tax authority was putting on them. And rather Jesus leaving them to their fate, He stepped in to protect them from the people. He said to them go to the river, and catch a fish, and when you catch the fish, open the mouth of the fish and you will see a coin. Go and pay. There are so many ways your wife and children are being pressured or attacked. You must rise up to their defence and help them.

But for you to exercise this God kind of authority that gives comfort and rest to your wife and children, you must of necessity do these things consistently. The first is that you must have a healthy and robust relationship with Jesus Christ, our Saviour. What this means is that you must not only be born again, you must make Him your Lord, that is your owner. The Scripture has this to say concerning that. If any man be in Christ……….. (2Cor.5:17). You must understand that to be in Christ means that it is no longer you that lives but Christ that lives in you and through you. And to that extent, your conduct, your words, your actions, your will, your emotions and your plans reflect what Jesus would do.

The second action step you must take is to pray intensely for the continued flow of the Spirit of faith because without the Spirit of faith at work in you on a continued basis and on increasing level, you will not fully take charge of situations and circumstances. Through faith they subdued nations………(Heb.11:33). And this happens when you are baptized with the Spirit of faith………by the Holy Ghost.

The third is for you to engage your mouth and declare only the counsel of God concerning your wife and children, and family. For with the heart man believes and the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Roms.10:10).

And as you take these steps, beginning from this month of October 2022, you will become that shepherd that your wife and children will be grateful to God for and God, even your God will bless you and make you the joy of many husbandmen (Ps.1:1-3).
