CAN GOD TESTIFY OF YOU?

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gen.18:19, Job 1:8, Gal.4:19, Jos.24:15, Matt.22:37, Philp.2:13, Eph.6:4, Matt.5:14-16, Eph.5:25, Matt.6:22, Matt.6:33

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord to do justice and judgment, that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him (Gen.18:19).

The above Scripture talks about the confidence God has for the husbandman, Abraham. God could vouch for him to not only obey His commandments but to also lead his wife, children and household to follow and do the right thing. God says, I know Abraham that he will keep the way of the Lord and will command his children and household to do same.

In Job chapter 1, God testifies of another husbandman named Job. Infact, God testified about Job before the devil. God says, and the Lord said to satan, hast thou considered my servant Job that there is none like in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (Job 1:8)

In both Scriptures, God was proud of the two husbandmen. God was pleased with their conduct and their report card. Now, this is the question you must ask yourself as the husbandman with the mandate to lead yourself, and your wife and children? Can God testify that you will keep and obey all His commandments for you as the man, husband and father? Can God testify that you will lead your wife and children to obey all His commandments and instructions? Can God be pleased with you and the way you are leading your life and the lives of your wife and children?

As the husbandman, you are representing God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit on earth through your actions, conduct and leadership in the home. That is what makes you the good and godly husbandman. You must love the Lord with the whole of your heart, mind, soul and spirit. You must lead your wife and children to also love the Lord with all their whole being. Both you and your wife and children must obey the instructions of God through Jesus Christ and do those things that please Him.

You are in charge. Let God testify of you as He did for Abraham and Job, bringing glory to Him.
