YOU MUST KEEP PRESSING FOR THE GOAL

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Lk.16:15-16, Jer.1:10-12, Matt.6:22, Jn.10:30, Gen.2:15, Eph.5:25, 1Cor.13:4-8, 1Pet.3:7-9, Eph.1:18-19, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Job 14:14

As the good and godly husbandman, God wants you to never give up on your assignments to Him and to your wife and children. God wants you to press on to the goal of your high calling as the husbandman. And two very important assignments that God wants you to press on to are found in Genesis chapter 2 and verse 15 and John Gospel chapter 10 and verse 30. My prayer is that you will not throw in the towel to satan, sin and the world through discouragement, despair and fear. Rather, you will press and continue to press until you become the good and godly husbandman.

God took the man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order (Gen.2:15) MSG.

My sheep recognize my voice. I know them and they follow me….. No one can steal them out of my hand (Jn.10:30) MSG.

These two Bible passages describe you as the set-man ordained by God to oversee everyone in your Garden, which represents your home-wife and children (Gen.2:15). The Scripture also describes you as the one whose voice of influence must be strong enough to command the followership of your wife and children (Jn.10:30). These are the goals God wants you to pursue and keep pursuing.

Having known the ultimate goals that God wants you to keep pursuing as you lead yourself, wife and children, you must therefore react against anything or circumstance that wants to discourage you from pursuing these God-given goals that are set before you (Jn.10:10, Eph.5:14, Jas.4:7). You must fight to recover and restore whatever may have been stolen, destroyed or lost just as David did (1Sam.30:18-20).

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and EVERYMAN PRESSETH UNTO IT (Lk.16:16)

You must understand that no one will take the responsibility to press for you. Not your pastor, bishop, reverend, parents, government, relations or friends can. You are the only person who can press towards the goal of the high calling God has set for, working with Person of the Holy Spirit. You must also appreciate that you are in a warfare and not funfair (Eph.6:12). Satan, sin and the world are daily contesting your godly leadership as the husbandman, but you must know that Jesus Christ has already made you more than a victor (Rom.8:37).

Beginning from today and all through your long and fruitful years on earth as you pursue your covenant assignment and responsibilities as the man, husband and father, make this confession in faith and boldly “I press towards the mark of the high calling with the goal in view and I must arrive there gloriously.” Halleluyah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my faith to believe all things and never give up on You, myself, wife and children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every root of hopelessness in my life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to see Your glorious destinies for my life, wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have faith in God and I press towards the mark of the high calling to become a vessel of honour to God, my wife, children and in the market place because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
