BE VIGILANT AND GUARD THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST IN YOU

Praise God! Today is the last day of February 2024. We give God all the glory and praise. Over the past few days, we have been looking at the foundation upon which you and I can build, grow and develop our person and power as the husbandman. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that we shall take personal responsibility to learn at the feet of Jesus by His word and receive the power to function as the good and godly husbandman by the Spirit of God behind His word we receive into our hearts. Amen.

There is one thing you must do and consistently so as you journey through to becoming the good and godly husbandman. And that is you must guard the knowledge of the truth of God’s word in your life. This is because the word of God in you and the spirit of the truth of the word is your greatest weapon of warfare. This is the reason knowledge is power. The more of Christ and His word you have at work in you, the more powerful you will reign gloriously, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially and relationally as the good and godly man, husband and father.

This is the admonition the Scripture has given to you and I.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH (1Tim.2:3-4)

Now, how does the devil fight to ensure that I don’t get filled up with the knowledge of the truth of the life of Jesus Christ? The devil uses the philosophies and tradition of men to confuse you. Consequently, he takes away the Bible from within your reach so that you are not able to study it anymore. And when he does that, you become influenced by what men and the world say than what God has said in His word. This is why you must, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2Tim.2:15).

In order to guard the knowledge of the truth of God’s word from being stolen by satan, sin and the world, you must fight for the word of God through constant fellowship with the Person of the Holy Spirit (Jn.14:26). Secondly, you must see God as your father who desires fellowship by your engagement of the word (Ps.1:1-2). Thirdly, you must engage the force of prayer and fasting to access the power of God that makes the word of God the living truth (Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Philp.2:13).

Therefore, you must be like the good farmer who goes to the field to till the ground. He plants the seeds and waters them. And when he harvests, he keeps them secured from being stolen. That is how you must approach the word of God for your life in order for you to keep growing as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me a teachable spirit to learn of Your way, truth and life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus empower me by Your Spirit to seek after You in truth and in Spirit.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower Your word to gain root in my heart and bear fruits in my life.

FAITH CONFESSION

I take responsibility to search the word of God to know the truth and I contend in prayers to keep the knowledge of the truth in my life because that is what I need to secure my heritage as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.
