WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT (3)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Ps.Ps.28:7, Heb.11:1, Ps.31:1, 2Cor.4:18, Heb.11:6, Heb.11:33, Joel 3:10, Job 22:29, 2Cor.10:4, Heb.11:6

While we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal (2Cor.4:18)

Yesterday, with the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we discovered from the Word of God why every husbandman must walk by faith and not by sight, and what faith in God and in His Word does for the husbandman.

But how does the husbandman grow his faith in God and in His Word to become and live a victorious life as the good and godly man, husband and father?

Faith is a spiritual seed, and it is planted by God through Jesus Christ. Until you have a relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ, the seed of faith cannot be planted in your heart. Therefore, repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ into your life, and make a commitment to serve Jesus Christ in truth and in spirit.

You must feed the seed of faith in your heart with the word of God through studying and meditation (Jos.1:6-8, Philp.3:10). Your confidence in God grows as you study and think on the Word of God.

You must walk with the Person of the Holy Spirit because He is the One who inspires revelation from the pages of the Bible that gives you unusual faith in God (Ezk.2:2, Gal.2:2).

You must learn to speak in the language of the Spirit, that is, speaking in tongues (1Cor.14:12). The root causes of the negative and unpleasant happenings around your life, and between you and your wife and your children, which you cannot explain, can be revealed by the mysterious power of God through the Person of the Holy Ghost.

God wants you to lead your life, the lives of your wife and your children by faith and not by the circumstances around you or with them (Ps.23:1, Jn.10:1-3). That is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the power of the glorious gospel shine on my path as I lead my life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to trust Your Word as the absolute truth as I lead my life, the lives of my wife and my children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith, and help me to lead by faith and not by sight.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am baptized with the spirit of faith, and I walk by faith and not by sight in all that I do, and over the circumstances of life, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
