Bible Texts: Philp.3:10, 1Tim.2:3-4, Jn.8:32, Ps.35:27, Jn.16:22, 2Tim.2:15, Jn.10:10, 3Jn.1:2, Jn.14:26, Lk.18:1, Ps.1:1-3
If you and I must succeed in our journey to becoming the good and godly husbandman, we must come to the knowledge of the truth of God’s word.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (1Tim.2:3-4)
We must not only have the knowledge of Jesus and His word, but we must also war with it to overcome the challenges that may come our way.
But how does the knowledge of the truth of God’s word help me to become the good and godly man, husband and father?
And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (Jn.8:32)
The knowledge of the truth in your life empowers you to know the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband, father, wife and children.
The knowledge of the truth keeps you far away from every form of ungodliness and empowers you to stand for what is right, notwithstanding the cost.
The knowledge of the truth sets you free from every trap of the devil that is aimed at making you unfit as the godly man, husband and father.
So, how does the devil fight to ensure that I don’t get filled up with the knowledge of the truth of the life of Jesus Christ?
Satan tries to take away the desire to study the Bible from you so you can become empty of the Word of God. To overcome this trick of the devil, keep studying.
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly diving the word of truth (2Tim.2:15)
Satan will try to take you away from fellowshipping with other brethren in worship, praise and prayer. He knows that when you fellowship with other brethren in your local church in prayer, word study, praise and worship, you are strengthened in your area of weakness. To overcome this trick of the devil, don’t neglect the fellowship of the brethren in your local church.
The knowledge of the truth from the Word of God is what makes free and guides you to become the good and godly husbandman (Jn.8:32).
Hallelujah!
