WALK IN LOVE

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children, and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor (Eph.5:1-2)

God wants the husbandman to walk in love towards his wife and his children. But what will the love of Christ do for me if I walk in it?

When you walk in the love of Christ, it empowers your conduct, thinking, and responses to agree with the Word of God.

When you walk in the love of Christ, you receive power to forgive and forget the hurt your wife or children may have done to you.

When you walk in the love of Christ, it makes you give your wife and your children first place in your life, where you are constantly looking out for how their lives can be better.

A spiritual responsibility you must take if you want to walk in the love of Christ is to consistently pray for the love of Christ to be planted in your heart (Rom.5:5). You must also keep praying for grace to demonstrate the love of Christ (Acts.1:1, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13).

As the husbandman, you are made in the image and likeness of Christ (Gen.1:26-28). You are God’s ambassador in your home. God wants you to represent His Son, Jesus Christ. You have the life of Christ, and you must walk in the consciousness of your newness in Christ by walking in love because that is your pathway to becoming the good and godly man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let Your love be shed abundantly in my heart and let me bear fruits.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in Your love in all that I do.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a living example of Your divine nature, through and through.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and by it I have the nature of Christ at work in me, and I am walking in love in all that I do because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
