Godliness is the husbandman’s greatest heritage, and that is what makes him useful to God, to his wife, to his children and to the world. Living a godly life invites the power, person, and presence of God into the life of the husbandman and into his home. This is why you must pursue righteousness in everything you do. Praise Jesus!
But why should I live a righteous life as the husbandman?
Righteousness gives you access to the wisdom of God that will help you lead your life successfully as the good and godly man, husband, and father. And it is the wisdom of God you require every day to do the perfect will of God.
Living a righteous life is also proof that you have been transformed from your old life of sin into the new life in Christ. And as an ambassador of Christ and as His representative in your home, it fits your headship as the good and godly husbandman.
In living the righteous life as the husbandman, you must have and maintain a worthy relationship with Jesus Christ and remain in love with Him (Jn.3:3-7, 2Cor.5:17, Ps.24:1-2, Rom.6:1). You must be conscious of who you are in Christ; that is, sin no longer has dominion over you anymore. Rather, you are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You must keep your gaze on the Word of God and keep drinking from it every day, both for your cleansing and empowerment (Matt.6:22, Jn.5:39, Jn.6:63, Rom.12:2, Heb.4:12).
Therefore, I want you to decide today to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, by doing what He commands. Your walk of righteousness will always bring you honour before God, your wife, and your children.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from every besetting sin and plant my life in You.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to refuse sin and help me to embrace righteousness as my lifestyle.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower and fill me with the Spirit of holiness.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I am living the perfect will of God in all areas of life because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband, and father in Jesus name. Amen.
