Bible Texts: 1Pet.1:7-8, Matt.6:22, Gen.12:2, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:23, Eph.5:25-29, 1Tim.3:4, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Deut.6:7-8, Jer.1:10-12, Dan.1:8
Wherein ye greatly rejoice though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls (1Pet.1:7-9)
Yesterday, we discovered from the Word of God that challenges and temptations that come to the husbandman are nothing but the test of faith. But victory is guaranteed for the husbandman because of the finished work of Jesus on the Cross.
But how does the husbandman pass the test of faith as he leads himself, his wife, and his children as the man, husband, and father?
As the husbandman, you must fix your eyes on what God has said about His glorious plans for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father, and not what the circumstances or challenges are showing you (Matt.6:22).
You must keep confessing the promises of God, declaring His counsel and praying the revealed word in hope, and thanking Him for your victory (Rom.5:5, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29).
You are an overcomer!
Hallelujah!
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by Your Spirit to see challenges as the trial of my faith.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain steadfast in Your promises and help me to focus on Your vision for my life as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me more than a conqueror in all life’s tests.
FAITH CONFESSION
The test of my faith is for a moment, and I remain steadfast on the promises of God. I focus my eyes on the glorious destinies that God has prepared for me as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
