Bible Texts: Heb.4:12-14, Ps.12:6, 2Pet.1:7, Jn.8:31-32, Rom.12:1-3, Eph.6:1, 1Pet.1:25, Jn.15:1-5, Rom.12:21, Acts 1:1, Jas.3:7, Ps.1:1-3, Eph.1:18-19
Today’s teaching is both a reminder and an admonition to the husbandman that if he must win and successfully lead himself, his wife, and his children, he must engage with the Word of God. The reason is very simple. God made the husbandman by the spoken word in Genesis chapter 1 and verses 26 to 28. God framed the world by the spoken word in Hebrews chapter 11 and verses 1 to 3. And Jesus says that you and I must search the Scripture for in it we have life (Jn.5:39).
But how powerful is the Word of God that can make me to live the good and godly life as husbandman?
For the WORD OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb.4:12)
The Bible says that the Word of God is alive, not dead; it is powerful, not weak; it is sharper, and not dull; it is most penetrating, and not bland.
The Word of God is powerful to make you overcome the forces of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (Gal.5:22-24). The Word of God is full of the wisdom of God that empowers you to be transformed into the good and godly man, husband and father.
The Word of God has the capacity to go into the spirit of your wife and your children, making them vessels of honour (Ezk.2:2, Jn.10:1).
The Word of God will always make you the good and godly man, husband and father. So, give attention to the Word by searching it diligently, believing in and doing what it says or commands (Deut.28:1, Ps.1:1-3, Pro.4:20-25).
Hallelujah!

GOOD REPORT FROM THE FIELD
- The devotional spoke to me this morning. I struggle with bitterness and forgiveness frequently. I need to show more love and compassion to my wife and son even when they are ungodly because that is my duty to protect, love and serve them (Taylor, S)
- The devotional is amazing. I truly needed to read the entire devotion. Great words and scripture to solidify the message. Praise God. Amen (Mike)
