For some time now, I am beginning to understand in a deeper dimension what it means for the husbandman to yield himself completely to the leadership of Jesus Christ. And I have discovered that when we yield our lives to Jesus in truth and in spirit, we become like Him.
The head of Christ is God and the head of the man is Christ and the head of the wife is the husband (1Cor.11:1-6)
The head of Jesus is God, the head of man is Christ, and the head of the wife is the husband. This Scripture tells us that even the husband has a leader he must yield or submit himself to, and that leader is Jesus Christ.
But as the husbandman, why should I yield or submit my life to the leadership of Jesus Christ?
It is because Jesus Christ is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, and He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
It is because Christ is the Wisdom of God given to you, so when you do what He says, you are wise and act in ways that please God.
It is because without Jesus Christ, you can do nothing; not even the power to do the right thing according to the Word of God as the man, husband and father.
Therefore, yielding to Jesus Christ doesn’t make you weak but better because as you behold Jesus in total submission to Him, you are changed into the very image of Jesus, making you the good and godly husbandman.
Hallelujah!
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my will, emotions, and my body to You.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my life, my soul, and my thoughts as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, please let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.
FAITH CONFESSION
I consciously and willingly declare You, Jesus Christ, as the Lord over my life because that is the gateway for me to become the good and godly influence over my wife and children and in the marketplace as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
