Bible Texts: Pro.4:18, Gen.17:1-3, Ecc.7:9, Gen.2:15-16, Jn.3:1-8, 1Cor.13:10-11, Gal.4:19, 2Cor.5:17, Rom.6:1, Rom.8:1, Pro.4:20-24, Ezk.2:2
When I was a child, I spake like a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things (1Cor.13:11)
God wants every husbandman to grow into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. But for the husbandman to become like Jesus Christ, he must take personal covenant responsibilities.
Now what are the covenant responsibilities the husbandman must subscribe to if he must become the good and godly man, husband and father?
The husbandman must take personal responsibility to keep studying the Word of God and engaging the forces of prayer and fasting (Pro.4:20-22, Ps.119:105, Jn.8:32, Mk.9:29). The Word of God is God’s manual of instructions, commandments and precepts, and as you keep searching, you will keep discovering a new and a living way of how God wants you to conduct the affairs of your life as the husbandman (Ezk.2:2).
You must keep thinking on the Word of God until it forms the picture of who you are in Jesus (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Jn.14:26).
You must keep praying for empowerment of the Holy Ghost so you can be empowered always to obey all the commandments of Scripture for you as the man, husband and father (Deut.28:1, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3, Gal.4:19, Ezk.2:2, Jn.5:39, Jn.15:5, Philp.2:13, Jn.15:5, Rom.5:5).
As the husbandman, you are an ambassador of Christ in your home. You represent the image and likeness of Jesus Christ to your wife, your children, and in the marketplace. Therefore, you must take responsibility to be like your Master, Jesus Christ, so your life can keep bringing glory to His name (Jn.15:4)
Hallelujah!
