MEN OUGHT TO ALWAYS PRAY

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Eph.6:18, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Lk.10:19, Heb.11:11:2, Jn.3:3-5, Heb.11:6, Ps.24:1-2, Heb.10:35, Jn.10:10, 2Tim.2:15, 2Cor.5:17

Men ought always to pray and not faint (Lk.18:1)

Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, admonishes you and I to keep our prayer altar burning (Lev.6:12). He wants you and I to engage the weapon of prayer to remain useful and effectual as good and godly husbandmen.

As the good and godly husbandman, praying always empowers you to build up inner strength to confront the challenges that may come your way as the man, husband and father. Your true strength lies in your spirit man, because the real you is not your physical body but the man on the inside.

As the husbandman, praying always empowers you to love your wife as Christ has loved the church and gave Himself to it (Eph.5:25).

As the husbandman, praying always empowers you to lead your children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.6:4, 1Tom.3:3-5).

As the husbandman, praying always empowers you to keep growing (Ps.84:7).

The authority and power you need to be in command of the affairs of your life as the man, husband and father can only be activated and sustained by the weapon of prayer and fasting. If you don’t want to faint, then make praying to God based oo His Word your lifestyle.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pray aright and give me victory over the works of satan, sin and the world.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am praying always and without ceasing, using the word of God as my foundation that is the empowerment I need to lead as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.

GOOD REPORT FROM THE FIELD

  • The husbandman devotionals should be a required reading for husbands. The Scripture and commentary when applied in love, will produce Christlike results in our lives and those we love (Bro. Vee)
  • I love the content because it is very straight forward and not too long a read, convicting and practical. I especially love the prayer and Christ centered affirmation (Blake, S)
